VOLUNTEERS ARE VALUED PEOPLE WHO WITH OUR SERVICE USERS CAN ENGAGE TOGETHER IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Volunteering with Vibrance provides the chance for you to try something new and to develop and use your skills in a supportive environment. By working in partnership with local volunteering services experts, we are developing our plans and links so that there are opportunities for you to support our work with a highly diverse group of vulnerable people to live the life they want.

Can I work across different locations?

You will be able to tell us which areas of our work you’re interested in: we work with people living in residential services, attending day activities, living in their own homes, or you may want to support our cafe services that offer vulnerable people the chance to work.

What will I get involved in?

We will ask you which skills you’d like to develop whilst you’re with us. Our aim is to enable people who use our services to lead their lives as they wish. So, that could be supporting people in the community to take part in activities such as art, reading or sport, or generally helping people to improve their social lives and become involved in the local community.

When will I be volunteering?

As we operate a 24 hour service, you’re able to choose to volunteer in the morning, afternoon or evening. You can also volunteer for an odd afternoon or just a few hours at the weekend.

Can I study for a qualification at the same time?

We support all our people to continue their development, and even provide funding where appropriate to gain a professional qualification. You’ll also receive support and guidance relating to your volunteering activities, and we will be working with the local Volunteering Organisations to help you take advantage of any support on offer.

Work placements

Our work placements are different to our typical volunteering roles, and are available to school students aged 15 or over, unemployed people and people undertaking academic or professional studies.

During your work placement, you’ll receive a short local induction and be allocated a supervisor who’ll be on hand when you need them. It’s an ideal opportunity for you to gain experience of the world of work and gain some invaluable skills.
