At Glendale, we provide supported living in a homely atmosphere for adults with mild learning disabilities and some mental health issues.
We are a low support scheme and our experienced and skilled staff assist each of our eight service users to live independently.
Each service user has their own bedroom, decorated to their own individual taste. We offer opportunity, choice, information and support to enable those we support to make informed decisions that allow them to have the lifestyle they choose.
We welcome close contact with relatives, carers and friends, whom are able to visit whenever they want and are encouraged to join in with activities and events.
Our service users are encouraged to take ownership of their support and we adapt our approach to ensure we are meeting their needs, rather than the needs of the service.
We support our service users to take part in a wide variety of activities, including helping them to seek employment or voluntary work.
We strive to support our service users to achieve their goals and aspirations – and sometimes this has meant successfully helping them into a less supported environment once they have felt ready.
