Supported Living

Our supported living service is designed to allow people across Essex to live with a greater level of independence. Part of this solution is through our supported living accommodation. You can find an overview of each home below, or click on the links for full details.

Registered Care

Some people live in registered accommodation which is externally regulated by the Care Quality Commission, whilst others live in our Supported Living services to allow a greater level of flexibility and individuality in how the support is provided.

Here at Cressing Road, located in Braintree, we offer supported living for eight adults with learning disabilities.

Accommodation is spilt across a four-bedroomed house and a four-bedroomed bungalow, with each service user having their own bedroom and access to communal areas.

Our foremost mission is to develop service user’s independence and empower them to make choices about their own lifestyles and recognise their own rights in their home and the wider community.

To help develop independence, the service users at Cressing Road are encouraged to come and go as they please and make the most of being close to local amenities.

Service users at Cressing Road vary in age, ranging from late twenties to early sixties, and all enjoy a wide variety of social activities such as eating out, trips to the cinema and shopping.

Our service users especially enjoy activities run by Mencap, and have held sponsored walks and other fundraising activities for the learning disability charity.

“Working for Vibrance at Cressing Road has been wonderful, the staff are well trained and work together as a team, which has created a serene atmosphere to work in. All of the staff work hard to ensure the service users needs are met, and it’s comforting to see a smile on their faces at the end of each day. – Emmanuel Ayiteyfio, Cressing Road support worker.

“Our brother has been living at Cressing Road for a number of years, during which time he has always been looked after with great care and passion by staff members. This passion has led him to being extremely happy in his home.” –
