Corporation Road, in Chelmsford, is a residential care home, providing accommodation, care and support for eight adults with learning, sensory and physical disabilities.

Accommodation is split across two units, with four bedrooms in both, with each service user having their own personal bedroom, which is decorated to their personal taste.

Our foremost missions is to support vulnerable people to lead their lives as they wish and to challenge the barriers that prevent the individual choice and fulfilment. We feel that being honest, open, hardworking, well-motived, passionate and ambitious makes a positive step forward in ensuring our goal is achieved.

Our staff are highly-experienced and are encouraged to undergo a wide variety of training and development, enhancing and constantly evolving our home into the best it can be.

Corporation Road has embraced modern technology with open arms, and with the use of apps and computer based programmes, has successfully helped utilise communication for those who experience difficulty expressing their feelings and emotions.

Activities our service users enjoy include trips to the cinema, car shows and clubs. Service users can also access entertainment in the comfort of the care home, with professional singers, DJ’s and pantomimes visiting Corporation Road.

We have built meaningful relationships with the local community, and work closely with the volunteering centre, who are able to provide us with enthusiastic members of the local community who interact with and support our service users in fulfilling their ongoing goals and daily activities.
