“We are really over the moon, it means a lot to us. We firmly believe in our staff. It is important that staff develop and grow at every level of the organisation. In turn, our investment in staff ensures the people we support receive the best service they possibly can from caring, talented, qualified and well trained staffed.
“I have been with the organisation since 2004, and in that time we have all been on a very long journey. We strive to enable people with a range of disabilities to have a greater voice and presence in their community, and we know we can only do that by recruiting, and developing the very best people working for Vibrance. We’re proud of where we are today and we know we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our long-standing commitment to excellence, which is supported throughout the organisation.
“It’s a fantastic accomplishment and it’s great that our commitment has been recognised by Investors in People with the Gold standard.
Vibrance has actively involved service users in developing its business plan, right through to the operational delivery. Having service users as board trustees ensures that the outcomes of Vibrance’s business plan are monitored in-line with its core values and mission statement – Supporting people to live their lives as they wish.
The organisation was praised for ‘its increasing emphasis on growing their own in order to support individuals’ career progression, as well as retaining knowledge and skills within the organisation and building internal capability and capacity for the future (particularly important right now, in light of the difficulties the sector as a whole is experiencing around recruiting staff)’.
Investors in People is the UK's leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, and provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Vibrance on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Vibrance should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
